Vince posted a blog, but there weren't any images, so in the meantime, I'm going to help him out.

they're very nice sketches, but i really don't see how the first one fits the theme for the sunshine comp.

I do. The whole thing's about conformity and being 'normal', right? So it's like the person's being labelled as 'beautiful', even though the sunglasses mask their identity.

Both are very nice. The Miss Sunshine theme is great.. love the tiara add in. My only suggestion would be to make the sun rays look less like fire. But thats only my opinion, but then again if CG'd up nicely it might work.

The second is really pretty. I'm a girl and I'd totally wear it. I think the use of the organic against the pixelated "future" is great. My only complaint (although it's not exactly a complaint as it it more of a nit-pick) is that at first glance it looks like a tattoo or a peice of grafitti.. although if I were to ever get a tattoo that would be it. ;)
