• Few things in my mind which are wrong with your design.
  
  For starters the image bares no relation to the statement below it. Though gun crime is on the increase in London, it's usually between black gangs, hence why operation trident was set-up. The most common guns involved are also sidearms, as they're more portable. So really if this was commentating on London, the kid should be a black teen, in gang affiliated clothing wielding a handgun with some sort of London landmark in the background, not a young white kid wielding a US military M16.
  
  That aside who really want's to wear an image of a child with a gun? Not to many I'm afraid, even if you do have your statement behind it, people vote on what they see not the underlying statement, and well your title sums up this image pretty nicely.
  
  Sorry if it seems I just took your design to pieces and ran a lawn-mower over it, but I'm just trying to offer some ideas. Feel free to ignore my advice, as I'm not exactly some design guru myself.
