It reminded me of the early days of the maids my family engaged when the kids were younger. I still have some of those "marked" clothes in my closet.

I think Ross Zietz would make a great uncle if he is not a father yet. He is able to dispense useful advises just with his t-shirt designs.

He can get his nieces and nephews, or better yet, get his siblings to buy them his "Strength In Numbers" t-shirts and tell them not to fight as they can join forces to gain whatever it is that they aim for.

Then he can remind them to start looking for birds of a feather with this design...



...to gain the support they need.

This t-shirt design reminded me of a conversation my family members had over the dinner table as we were eating our eggs.

"Which came first? The chicken or egg?"

The answer is the egg!

It is a conclusion that came from a group of expert panel that includes a philosopher, geneticist and chicken farmer and you can read it off "Chicken and egg question answered" posted on Guardian.

If you still cannot get the point after reading that article, let me try explaining it this way. Think about an Eurasian. The child is of mixed ancestry of an European and an Asian parent. The parents are not Eurasian though they are parents of one. But their sexual consummation resulted in the fertilization of an egg and that very egg, by its genetic composition, developed into an Eurasian child.

So, the egg came first. Got it?

Have you heard of "Animal Copyright Foundation"? This is a nonprofit organization launched by Gregory Colbert in 2006 to help preserve species and habitats around the world.

Advertisers who use animals in their publicity campaign are encouraged to contribute 1% of their media buy directly to conservation projects around the world recommended by the foundation or one of their preference. If they comply with the Animal Copyright Foundation standards they can display the Animal Copyright symbol on their advertising media and have their companies listed on its website as supporters of conservation.

Sadly, at this time of writing, only Gregory Colbert's contribution through his Ashes and Snow Exhibition, presenting images of human and animals interacting with one another, is listed.

I remember during the earlier days of my marriage, when I boiled soup for the children's father, I used a whole chicken when there were only two of us eating at home! Since I cooked almost every weekend, that's a lot of leftover chicken to throw away.

I did not learn the basic of cooking a proper meal. I do not even know how to cook my favourite dish then. So, it is no wonder that I have been called a "fun tong" (Cantonese) which literary means "rice bin" which actually means "good for nothing".

So, I have been writing out recipes of the food my children enjoy eating and collecting instructional videos and useful links for them to go to to learn from.

So, what mistakes have you made which you would like your children to learn from?

Sometimes when I look at the way my children behave, I do wonder if I am the same when I was a kid. A check with my mother sometimes give me the answer but it is a feat if she is able to as she has six children's events to recall. So, I can't blame her if she has forgotten how it was with me.

So, I will try to put in writing how my children behave when they were children. The first 3 lines of the above poetry is a daily routine during school days. Last four lines are just my wishful thinking. It is very difficult to get the children to sleep early. They will soon be down looking for supper even though I have declared that my kitchen is closed.
