I hate work. I mean I love the money and all but I'm sick of these annoying little customers that act as if the store is their own personal closet. It probably makes me sound even more like a hipster that I work there but for goodness sake everyone is a hipster in their own way. So bug off.

I think one upside of working at urban is the increase of customers wearing Threadless tees. I have to admit I get all giddy and sneak up on them and squeal "I Love Threadless." Their responses are always amazing.

Downside: standing on my feet for 8 hours directing people to an obvious sale section and to fitting rooms that can be discovered by a child.

Save me? I'll be nice.

fact: retail sucks 90% of the time.

there's a reason you work these jobs in your teens. it makes you be nice to sales people for the rest of your life and motivates you to do well in college.

i don't worry about being a hipster. i wear what i like, act how i please and if people label me i just see them as insecure about themselves. but apparently everyone on this thing throws that word around so much..it just gets tiring. people need to grow up.



and i've been in retail for over a year now. i know the ropes. but its just a pain in the ass when people don't have manners nor the mental capacity to think "oh well these employees probably get out at 3am with the shit we keep doing, let's stop being douches."

the great thing about working at urban outfitters is that they totally steal designs from threadless and other cool tee stores, awesome!

and for the hecklers: everyone steals from everyone. i don't condone it..i wouldn't want someone stealing some song i wrote or some guitar riff i put together. but in general, the stealing of other peoples' ideas is inevitable.



oh, and i'm just trying to make some money as a college student by being a sales associate. if you don't like UO then tell them.
