How far can a design wrap around a shirt? I'm thinking that the answer may be 50% of the overall "circumference" ie you couldn't actually print more that the whole width of the tee. Then again, my knowledge of screenprinting is limited.
Can anyone enlighten me?

it depends on the size of the printing pallet theyre using

if they were to print a full front image with a maximum size of 13" on a 14-16" pallet, all they would do is rotate the shirt on the pallet so it prints on the side of the shirt and "wraps around."

So I would say around 13-15", but again, it depends on the pallets they are using

Thanks for that, its more or less what I thought ( I think), that you couldn't have a design that covered, say, 3/4 of the width of both the front and the back.

Cheers for taking the trouble to answer.

no problem!

its not likely they can cover that much without belt printing.

I work for a screen printing company and our largest pallets are 20" wide, but the standard for printing full images is about 16", so when we print wrap around images, we simply rotate the shirt on our standard 16" pallet

but since I know larger pallets exist, I'm sure a larger wrap around print is possible!
