c'mon aussie lets get heard! [oh my god that sounds lame]...
well neway australia needs a threadless store! the northern hemispheres got one, now the south does too, n where better than down under?
melbourne would definitely[is that right?] be the best place! i mean everyone knows it here where its at! [+sydney people, sorry but no one who isn't from sydney can figure out how to get around... even sydney-siders get lost!] plus, i live nearby ^_^
i could list y melbournes the best but, i shan't make people from, err, lesser states feel bad [jokin] [no really i am] [melbourne roxorz] [we got john so, 'n hes OUR bro!]
so... leave a message n maybe if enugh aussie threadless members comment it and support it, we COULD [unlikely] get an aussie threadless store!
AUSSIE, AUSSIE, AUSSIE!!!

Dude, it's Aussie. Come on. Unpatriotic. Poor form.

In other news, I think the chances are slim at best. Slimmer than that, even.

melbourne is the fashion capital and it's cold. i dunno if cheap tees would go down so well. i reckon sydney, newcastle, or surfers would be better sites.

This has been discussed about 3023404 times, but still relevant I guess.

I'd vote for Sydney.

In all seriousness, this is never going to happen. In order to maintain the philosophy of the store, which is to put brand new designs out the weekend before they go out to the website, and then leave them there for a two-week run, you would have to ship them over here well in advance, or else have them printed locally. Then, you'd have to move all unsold stock back for sale through the website, or have some kind of distribution mechanism here. The price of the t-shirts would wind up being at least $30 if not $40.
Neon Samurai
Neon Samurai on Nov 18 '07 at 2:29am
Yeah, it'll never happen. Besides anything else there's got to be a dozen places that due to population density etc would get a store way before Oz.

Sydney is more worthy of a Threadless store.

... but honestly, I don't think it's going to happen.

And anyway, wouldn't you feel less special if there were more people in Aus sporting Threadless tees? Everyone will be buying their tees from Threadless and then I might have to resort to buying my shirts from..... Jay Jays!! eek!

Or fake Threadless from Dangerfield. They're selling "Honest Tee" (I have never been to NY). I came on to "blog about it" but couldn't find the product page cos it seems the I less than three NY people have had it removed.
Jebbie
Jebbie on Nov 18 '07 at 5:20am
it's probably not coming up when you search for it as a product as it's sold out. only tees in stock show up in products searches. search for the sub and find the link that way

ps lame about them selling it
eskimokiss
   eskimokiss on Nov 18 '07 at 5:21am
was it part of their Revival range?
I haven't bought from them in years.
They seem to be stocking the same shit every year. I hate when brands get stagnate like that
eskimokiss
   eskimokiss on Nov 18 '07 at 5:22am
no jebs.
Honest tee was removed from the threadless catalogue for the reason squatterjohn mentioned.
Jebbie
Jebbie on Nov 18 '07 at 5:25am
The reason being people made too many fake ones?
squatterjohn
squatterjohn on Nov 18 '07 at 5:26am
My friend brought one back for me from New York and it (like, the graphic on the front) was literally COVERED in disclaimers: a registered trademark and copyright blah blah blah .... They've definitely threatened legal action. This is the url : http://www.threadless.com/product/363/Honest_Tee , I was able to find that cos kirstenlovesdinner has submitted a product pic, but the link just takes you back to the main catalogue page.

It wasn't Revival eskimo, it was Pulp Kitchen, but you see stuff in there with a Revival tag in it in medium and a dangerfield tag in large, or a revival tag stitched in with a pulp kitchen swing tag so who knows.

They sell really cool logo stuff from nostalgic tv and stuff. Things you'd see on "The Afternoon Show" back in the day, but they use that cheap transfer print crap and charge $44 a shirt. I could get stuff like that at Jay Jays or whatever. More Americanised, but half the price.

squatterjohn

I often see things I like in there but rarely find I can pull it off without looking like an indie tryhard.
neon electric
neon electric on Nov 18 '07 at 6:23am
"indie tryhard" - lol it's funny 'cos it's true.

I'm well over the old school and 80's thing they've had going on there. I've been looking for a Violent Femmes tee for years and they had a very large bunch of them in stock for only $15. It kinda took the appeal right out.

lol, Melbourne.
Try Sydney. I should say that even though I'm in Adelaide. Which gets absolutely nothing good anyway. We have giant metal balls? Oh yay.

My half sister who lives in Oz describes Melbourne and Sydney as two sisters. She says that Sydney is the pretty one and Melbourne the more cultured and intelligent. Fair comment?

I would laugh if Threadless took your comments on board for a southern hemisphere shop and opened it in Wellington.

Only not cos not only am I nice. But I'm a better person than you.

That's overkill Jebbie - 2 eyes 10 fingers. What are you going to do with rest of my fingers? No don't answer that.

Jebbie on Jan 10 '08 at 12:16am
Everyone loves Adelaide's metal balls.

I'm going to squish them all in your two eyes. Five fingers (well really four and one thumb) in each eyeball.

Can we do it?

It's an experiment. It's for a good cause..

Spam69 on Jan 10 '08 at 12:25am
Hmmmmn, I'm probably gonna take a rain check Jeb.

And also suggest to your carers they confiscate any pets you may have.

Also while I've got yer nice agitated, if Threadless ever do have a shop overseas, you know in your heart of hearts where it's goin' be.

I'd keeeeell to work in the Aus store. The southern hemisphere needs some threadless love. We could totally have exclusive tees and stuff.

But I know this will never happen. :(
