Sky is supposed to be genitive, I think, because genitive means "of ___". And caelum is the genitive form, right?

Man, if only we were talking about ancient Greek, which I'm taking now.

terra is like...ground

Stevethegreat
Stevethegreat on Nov 06 '07 at 3:13pm
I think it would be mondus caeli?

because the genitive ends in i for masc?

and mondus is world?
synecdoche
synecdoche on Nov 06 '07 at 3:15pm
Yeah, steve's definitely right- caeli is the genitive form, so it would be that. And terra does mean ground, but I think it could also be used for world.

So "mondus caeli" is probably your best bet.

Terra caeli looks/sounds better though...so if you don't mind a possible translation being land of sky, i'd go with that

land o sky works well cause itslit. describing an earth of the future which has broken up and islands of earth float about

if i ever finish my book that is
horizontal vertigo
horizontal vertigo on Nov 06 '07 at 3:23pm
