Looks like the religious kooks and hypocrites are at it again, this time threatening to kill the director of a new documentary which details the lives of religious homosexuals.
The new documentary will be shown on BBC's Channel 4, and will document the everyday struggle for acceptance by several homosexuals who are also devoutly religious. Religious leaders through the nation have condemned the film, including one preahcer quoted as saying "These people should not be confessing their sins to the television cameras. They should be doing it in private to God and seeking forgiveness." The director of the film now says she's received death threats, and calls for the film to be banned. It's not the first time Channel 4 has stirred up religious controversy surrounding homosexuality. In a 2007 documentary, they secretly filmed two preachers calling for the death of gays. The first merely postulated "If I were to call homosexuals perverted, dirty, filthy dogs who should be murdered, that's my freedom of speech, isn't it?", while the second actively called for people to "take that homosexual and throw him off a mountain."
