The opening reception for my first art show, SLAPDASH, was on Friday.
I want to thank the Threadless blogs for helping me while I was preparing for it! (helping with the postcards, posters, press release, etc). The playlist for the show included a lot of Elliott Smith. ^^ There was a pretty good turn out...including our very own Lordog, Chengui, and Renee!  woop woop! My photos are pretty crappy because I used my cell phone to take them...     so... I have 15 postcards and 8 posters right now. I'm sorry for not being around lately
and I hope you know I miss you very very much. :) I've just been really busy (and I know you don't want excuses but...) you know school, volunteering I'm helping out with the Japanese Student Society's biggest event of the year there's also the art show oh, and getting together a halloween costume and secret santa, I promise I'm shopping for you and all that jazz. I waited until I finished uploading my Chicago photos before I posted a blog. check out my flickr set HERE! :-) Thank you, Threadless. This weekend was by far one of the best I've experienced. Threadless and the Community has been such a huge part of my life, and I'm so happy it is. I was secretly really afraid that I wasn't cool enough for people at the meet-up...but I felt the love. :-) A few of my favorite moments, in no particular order. - Seeing everyone all at once at the pizza place, and being so happy my chest hurt afterward. - andyg calling me boysbeambitious. - SUSHI. - "Build Me Up Buttercup" being the last song at karaoke, everybody getting into it, and seeing Phil dance. Dancing Phil makes me happy. - BACONTACO IRL. - Lori being the best travel buddy EVER. and more       I miss all of you, hope to see you next year! xoxo Priscilla

I'm having my first art show this fall, and I need your help! ALL these three things are due before I leave for Chicago. #1. Fliers - DONE!  black and white version  #2. Postcards I'm still working on it, but one side will probably have this illustration on it. Front:  #3 Press release ...done? maybe? Food for Thought Gallery presents SLAPDASH, a collection of paintings and illustrations by Priscilla Phitsanoukane. Often described as whimsical and reminiscent of children's books, Priscilla's work is heavily influenced by her experiences and colorful imagination. The Food for Thought Gallery is located at the PSU Smith Memorial Union 026 (Basement). The exhibit runs from November 6 to December 4, 2009. The opening reception is on November 6 at 5:00pm to 7:00pm, with free food courtesy of Food for Thought. Priscilla Phitsanoukane is currently a sophomore at Portland State University studying graphic design. She enjoys illustration, photography, travel, good coffee, and John Cusack. --- Thank you!
