Is it good? Should I buy it? It's the album of the week on iTunes so it's only $10.49 and that's with 7 bonus live tracks. That means I need another $2.08 in iTunes credit but.

Yes yes yes!

It's a near perfect album.

I wish i was a fan of all these Grizzly Bear/Of Montreal/Animial Collective hippy boho soundscapes, but they just don't do it for me. If you like that kind of sound, go for it!

The latest Los Campesinos! and Japandroids albums are awesome.

Los Campesinos is really great too.

can't say the same for Japandroids imo

Japandroids is just super simple yet powerfully perfect fuzzed-out nostalgia rock, bringing back amazing memories of Smashing Pumpkins and early emo but with a more cynical, grown-up weariness about life.

I don't see the songs getting better with age, but right now, at this point in my music listening life, it really hits me so good. lol.

I just dl'd the Charlotte Gainsbourg album that is a Beck album that he wrote all the songs for with CG singing over them, so it's like a brand-new Beck album! Yeay!

The Broken Bells (lead guy from Shins and Danger Mouse) side project is decent but not something that I was riveted by. Really cool, almost indie R&B soundscapes tho, it's DEF more of an album to listen to all the way through than singling out one or two magical musical moments from.

Also add Vampire Weekend to the list of modern music that every hipster loves but i don't just don't like pile.

ah Vampire Weekend

I have a feeling in 10 years I won't care about them one bit but I just think theyre too catchy to resist.

I'm definitely picking up their new album tomorrow.

I just saw I can get it on eMusic, which probably makes it cheaper, except without the live tracks. Except I've only got 2 downloads left there too till the end of the month and I'm struggling to complete albums there as it is ever since they bumped my downloads back from 50 to 30 so I could easily spend those 30 on other things.

If I get a $20 iTunes card, which is what I'll have to do to have the extra $2 I need, that will leave the $16.99 I'll need to buy another, so maybe I'll check out the Japandroids or Los Campesinos too.

I think I'll be getting Vampire Weekend from eMusic next month, so that's 10 downloads down.
