It was always one of my favourites when I was little.

They've just released an authorised sequel, 80 years after it was published.

And they've introduced a brand new character, Lottie the Otter!

Have you read the article? I think you'll find it echoes your sentiments. (Although I don't think many of the critcs have even read the book yet so it's wrong of them to pre-judge it.)



But I think it's more acceptable to write a new sequel now after all those sequels to the Disney version were released, especially all the CGI ones. This book looks like it might treat the original soource material with a bit more reverence than it has been treated with lately.



So I will reserve my judgement on this.



(And it's sacrilegious.)

Is that the 3D one with Jim Carrey? I saw the preview ahead of Coraline. It looks pretty good.
