i hate it when people say that...

isn't saying that kind of inferring that you are ABOUT to be rude? and even then, you just sound straight up pretentious...

don't you just hate it when you drink something hot like hot chocolate (or cold, like ice cream), and it leaves that nasty feeling in your mouth?

i just had an extra large hot chocolate, and my tongue feels kinda powdery-fuzzy.... a wee bit burt, numby i guess...

i need water now.

i disagree. sometimes people feel they need to say something that may be interpreted as being rude, and they just want to clarify that that is not their intention.

re: jakanapes-- i get what you're saying, but often times, the people who are using that phrase, are actually being dickish. unfortunetly, this is the interweb, and it's hard to sense emotion etc. from others...
