Miss. school prom off after lesbian's date request

The story

Do you think that it is right for the school to cancel the prom because a lesbian girl wanted to where a tux and bring her girlfriend. Mississippi School policy states that the students must bring only the opposite sex as a date.

What are your thoughts??

If they wouldn't let a gay couple come to the prom, I wouldn't want to be a part of said prom.
