I'm back with more questions, yippee!

Ok, two things.

-When people say "this is worth 5$" do they mean that it is worth a rating of 5, or that they don't like it and would not pay more than $5 for it?

-When you submit a design, does it enter the pool immediately, or does it take a while? Does it only stay up until the following monday when they pick winners, or longer?

okay cool. will it only enter at the judging pool at the beginning of a new week?

also...are there administrators who screen the entries and only put up legitimate candidates, or can you put all kinds of crap up? I wouldn't want to do that, I just wonder how some people who have been members for maybe a year have like 10 or 20,000 submissions.

there's a screening process

you can submit at any time

they dont print designs right away, usually the ones printed are over 80 days old

Submission Kit

You will find the submission Kit on this page in the little box. When you download it it will give you all of the reasons a sub may be declined, as well as the t-shirt templates, explanations of specialty inks and how to use them and a bunch of other goodies.

Submissions continually go up and down during the week. Depending on when you enter it and when it gets accepted it can go up anytime during the week Monday-Friday. As Tonteau said it takes 4-8 business days before your design is approved to go up for voting.

... and where it says on people's profiles that they have scored x number of designs, that means they have given that many designs a score, not that they have submitted that many designs for scoring. If that was what you were referring to?
