Why did this shirt, of all the AMAZING shirts, get reprinted!
I'm not saying this is a bad shirt.
But this shirt just got printed maybe 2 months or so ago!
There's shirts that tons of people that have been waiting to get reprinted for YEARS!

Please Threadless.
Reprint some of the old classics.

if any shirt has the highest number of people who want it reprinted, they do it.. so i guess that's what happened.

I agree. I think they should reprint the oldies, or at least not shirts that were just printed really recently. I have nothing against the design either, it just seems weird that there weren't older shirts with a lot of reprint requests too.

Uh, yeah... they sold out within hours of it's release and there were quite a few people who missed out. Mostly it was because they never print enough Guys Mediums...

At least I'll get one this time.

It sold out within hours in guys M and within 1-2 days for most other popular sizes... yes I'd've liked to see other designs reprinted as well, but I'm not at all surprised to see this one - I almost expected it to be reprinted earlier, it was such a good hit!

And now I can get it as my gym tee... :)

I guess I'm the only person who sees this shirt as depressing, not cute, huh?

the rhino is pushing herself to become an unobtainable fantasy, something she was never meant to be, rather than being happy with who she is, being who she is supposed to be.

it just makes me think of all these girls starving themselves in order to look like super models, who are all airbrushed and not real anyway - another unobtainable fantasy. it's sad.

this shirt doesn't seem to condemn this, so it's not making a comment on this trend, it's promoting it.

apparently i'm deputy downer today, but that was my first thought on seeing it.

Speedymarie:

I understand what you're saying, but I love this shirt because it's depressing, cute, and funny all at once. The shirt doesn't condemn the pursuit of unattainable fantasy, but it displays a wry awareness of it. I'll be buying it in 2XL and wearing it to the gym. :)

I just joined Threadless, but I think newer designs have a much greater reprint chance since theres probably more people who joins the site now then when it started.

I did ask for reprints on some old ones in the stock chart, you never know !

Heh, speedymarie, that's just what I thought too: it reminded me of anorexics and their "thinspiration". However, unlike you, I don't think this shirt is promoting it. If it's "not making a comment on" it (which you say immediately before), then how can it be promoting it? It's open to interpretation, and in all probability, wasn't meant to be taken this seriously. However, if it had to come down on one side or the other, I'd say it's mocking the idea of pursuing unobtainable goals - a rhino is clearly not a unicorn, no matter how much it exercises, and therefore its endeavours seem ridiculous (and yes, poignant).
