K - Knicks?

dakota building?

Macy's

You could maybe use one of the letters for the different subway lines - i think l and m are ones, they should be recognisable to new yorkers if done in the same style

Too bad Times Square cleared up, there used to be plenty of XXX around there.

You might have to fudge a little for X. I know one thing that was essential to me when I lived in New York was the eXpress train.

For "I", the I Love New York advertising campaign (or, I Heart New York) has been a big thing for a very long time.

I Heart NY

For "L" how about the New York Lottery?

Or LaGuardia Airport?

thanks all. I thought about the I love ny thing but think it might be pretty well protected. I like the express train idea.

Metropolitan opera, Macy's day Parade, ballons/floats (Thanksgiving Day parade) would make a good visual. As well as the Intrepid Sea-Air-Space Museum. International Center of Photography, is pretty famous. Little Italy, Lincoln Center, Hell's Kitchen (now famous for restaurant row (somewhat of a stretch).

Anyway, love your London poster! Cheers!

Maybe a map of the theatres that are on Broadway? Meant to say, Off-Broadway

Oyster bar is a landmark in my opinion. Incredible raw bar, fresh, deliciously prepared fish and really cool atmosphere set in the landmark, Grand Central Station! Maybe their logo or doorway image would give you a bit of diversity from the mostly archetectual references you'll be using?

You could just use the Grand Central Sign directing viewers to the restaurant?

Meant to say, way to go dbrv11, Oyster bar is a great idea =]

Ug, I hate DUMBO it is embodiment of the unnatural acronyms that have arisen in NYC in the past decade.

V1ctorya
V1ctorya on Nov 23 '10 at 11:47am
Delmonicos! Used to get cherries there every morning one summer.

the gorillaz are always popular at any zoo I would think. I remember those lines.
