Wow, Eric and I are really tickled to see our design as an actual shirt! So first things first - a huge thank you to Threadless for picking our design and doing such a great job printing it. I can't recall how I got the original idea but I remember having this image in my head of silhouettes of several hyenas on the savannah with one uttering "LOL". Out of sheer laziness it ultimately wound up as the single sillhouette uttering "LOL" that you all saw in my original version. It scored all right but I realized it left people a bit wanting. Fortunately that's when my comrade came along and offered to rework my design, which wound up being the design you can currently see on the Threadless front page. We had a lot of fun working on it together and Eric did a great job of following my suggestions and making the design much more appealing and approachable without losing the sort of dry, simple humor I had been trying to convey.

I remember voting on Amy's initial design and being immediately struck by what a simple but winning idea it was. I loved the bold simplicity and the dry humour. I approached her soon after about doing a resub since I thought I could bring something extra to the concept. I've only done a few collabs and its always a tricky process when you're trying to do justice to another person's concept so it was extra gratifying to ultimately get a print from it.
