• when my screen has frozen and the usual reset button combos (switching the HOLD button on and then off again, etc) aren't working, i plug it into the the recharger but NOT thru the computer. this always resets it.
  
  my old ipod but the dust however, and after plugging it in, that little sick face icon came up. i'd used a cheap car charger and felt the ipod actually get hot. damned bargain...

• wow, i LOVE the idea of all submitting unflattering body shots! i have a lovely gut cultivated for just such a purpose! i think this kind of response is the best.
  
  i have to say some of us have been really big assholes to the original poster. yeah, so he was an asshole first, so what? now we all are. as fun as it is to dump on somebody (and it sure is fun!), it makes you just as base -- but blinded by a feeling of moral superiority. gandhi was right: an eye for an eye makes the whole world blind.
