OK, so to get my STPs I've put up all my photos. I had to do this last batch in PhotoBooth and it looks like ass, but anyway, I have 98 photos and just placed an order for some $9 tees. This means that I will pass 100 when I get that order.
I know ir0cko has a bunch more than me, and quite a few people seem to have 60 to 75 maybe. But I guess I have a morbid desire to learn just how "bad" I am or am not. Who's got more than 100, or close to it? about Dead Shred
Okay...2.07?!? It is nicely done, I gave it a 2 at the time of scoring but that's just me and it's got a lot going for it in terms of mass appeal. I dunno, maybe they felt they weren't printing enough fun shirts? Or universal shirts? They must have been aching for some bold lines and random juxtaposition. 'Cause I still don't get one thing: why a mummy? about Striped Bird
...I recall many much higher scores in the Lomo contest. I'm getting sorta sick of how often that happens... about Land Of 1000 Dances
I can't find Land of 1000 Dances. It's not one of my favorites; I think I have only worn it once. And it's not a favorite in general, it would seem, because my street-team-points photo of it is still the most recent one on its page, and I've had it for months now. (That picture sucks btw; I took it with Photo Booth, I didn't have a camera at the time. I have this weird desire to apologize to grayehound. Sry grayehound!!!11)But I know where all my tees are -- including the ones I acquired behind threadless.com's back, so to speak -- except this one. And of course I find that I like it a hell of a lot more, now that I can't lay my hands on it for the time being. When I find it, I'm sure the size of my relief is gonna be very embarrassing to me. ;P about Liberty
So reading the other blogposts about it, looks like they made a really limited run, with some quality and consistency issues at that -- and now thousands of us are dying for it. What the hell were they thinking? Any fool can see this'd sell like hotcakes in a decent-sized run. I can understand making fewer guys' sizes of it than girls' -- but not by very much. (waves arms frantically) Attention, o my beloved and beleaguering Threadless: Everyone here who even vaguely likes pretty things - sometimes, occasionally, at ALL - wants one of these! Reprint it, and this time, knock it off with the grease spots and weird size errors! I don't care that it's only been 3 months, and neither should you! You can make it Select or something and it'd STILL sell! I hate lots of exclamation points as much as the next person, but I feel I have no choice! Thank you and goodnight! ...um, and roadkill3d, keep 'em coming. (yeah, I know you just had a print, who cares.)
The reason I'm posting this is that my body seems a bit unusual, because I've gone through a fair amount of trial and error to get a good fit around here.
I'm 5'10", am a D-cup, and would be a size 10 if things that size weren't usually too short for me. (I have to get guys' jeans mostly.) If two or all of these characteristics are true of you, most of the shirts shown in my stupid amount of photos indicate what the girly large size might look like on you. My profile page's first shirt list is of only that size. The second list points out which shirts are other sizes, if you want to check those out too. Also if your body is sort of like this, when you want to buy a shirt and they're out of girly L's, please heed what I learned too late: a guys' S may fit you much better than a girly M. The sleeves are only slightly winglike; the other aspects of the fit are well worth it.
Of the 21 $5 tees in the sale, I discovered that I bought 14 of them over the past few weeks. A few of those, I had just ordered for $9 or $15; I returned them, was refunded, and rebought them. Threadless is cool like that. With two of the shirts, I settled for a guys' large; this is especially silly given that a guys' small fits me perfectly.
So, I have spent $70 plus various shipping on tees that cost $5. I don't know whether to be proud or disgusted with myself. How many did y'all get?
Scattered around the site are still a few $5 (and possibly $9) shirts, most of them almost out of stock. So far, I've only found them by sifting through the whole damn catalog. Anyone got any ideas?

My hope is that my addiction to Threadless tees will cause actual artists (one of whom I am not) to tolerate my incessant presence in the scoring area.
If you're 5'9" or taller, and have a larger than average chest (not that there's anything wrong with that!), do not buy American Apparel girly larges. Get the XL when it's not the Threadless brand. If you have to, you're actually better off with a guys' small in non-Threadless. I have a blogpost about this but it's old and verbose. I'll make cute little thumbnails of all the designs I own, once I figure out how. |
