When your alarm goes off, how many snooze button(s) do you need to wake yourself up?

I need around 5-6 (9 minute per).

I'm always late for work.

My boss don't like me.

I used to not snooze at all,

then my boyfriend had to get up before me...

He snoozed 4 times...So me too.

Now we have this

It wakes you up by slowely turning on the light, and then birds start to softly tjirp.

No snooze no more.

Depends on how tired I am, sometimes I jump right out of bed. But mostly it's about 10-15 minutes.

   Tonteau on Oct 10 '08 at 11:50am
Recently, I've pressing it 5/6 times. I don't know why I don't just give up and get up an hour later. At least then I'd have a peaceful extra hour.

i'm late to work everyday too. I'm "suppose" to be there at 8 but I don't even wake up until 8:30. I'm usually there by 9 though, so it's not that bad.

yeah, considering my supervisor doesn't usually come in until around 9:30 as long as I get here before her I don't feel too bad.

I used to be able to wake up so easily when my alarm went off. I want one of those light things, every alarm I've ever had is very disorienting to wake up to, no matter how soft or pleasing to the ear. I used to hit snooze like 5 times but I've cut it back to 2 at the most. I just drag myself out and put up with the suffering.

My work hour spoils me...I need to start work at 11, but I go to work at 12...Brunch!

I used to wander in to work at 9. Now I'm proud of myself if I'm there by 8:15. Work starts at 8.

I was skeptical about the light thing, but am happy that we got it now.

(if needs be you can even snooze the birds tjirping)

today was the roughest morning ive had all week... cause i would instantly fall back into a deep sleep between snoozes... which is a rare occurence. And it was crazy cause the dream i was having would keep picking up where it left off.

Does anyone else get confused by the word 'snooze' in the morning? When you're half asleep it doesn't look like a real word.

and what sucked about the continuous dream was that there was this mystery dream girl in it, and i was determined to ask what her name was... and i was just about to ask, but then the final snooze went off... and i was ruined

Until this year I always woke up before my alarm... always. I don't know what's happened. But now I set my alarm an hourish before I actually want to get up, and hit snooze. I also set my alarm on the other side of the room so I have to get up out of bed to hit it.
marblecargirl
marblecargirl on Oct 10 '08 at 12:08pm
i am a chronic snoozer! i hit it at least 4 times. i'm also almost always 15-30 minutes late for work in the morning. although, i don't technically haaaaaaaave to be here at 8. i think it's just a recommended time of arrival. by, you know, the bossmanguy.

after this weekend, i will be living an entire hour closer to work, so this may all change.
marblecargirl
marblecargirl on Oct 10 '08 at 12:10pm
also, i used to have a radio alarm, but then i started to incorporate morning shows into my dreams, and that was just silly.

now i use my phone and wake up to "believe it or not, george isn't at home!"

i have a horrible quirk where i cant really go back to sleep after i've woken up, or it takes me at least an hour.

so i've never used snooze :/

plus i have to get up at 5am anyway, so if i used a snooze i'd have to set it for like 4am haha.

Lately I've been really good about waking up. Since I wake up around 7 or 8 every other day...I'm tired by 10 PM, especially with at least 1 1/2 hours of dance a day. So I wake up 15 minutes before my alarm and I have no trouble, which is rare.

its so unfair... its so weird how dreams seem like theyre always timed just right so that you wake up at the most inopportune moment

im gonna put your picture next to my bed, so you're image is embedded in my head before i fall asleep. that way, if random mysterious girls show up I can be like "You're not Liz! GTFO!"

I never understand people who press snooze. I want good quality deep sleep for as long as possible. My alarm is set at the latest time I can get up and still be able to take my time getting ready (I need a cup of tea and to wash my hair every morning). I think I have internal snooze, since I always wake up about an hour before I'm due to get up and then go back to sleep.

I can't snooze because I can never fully relax enough to go back to sleep & I would rather just get up later that tease myself with a few minutes at a time.
igo2cairo
   igo2cairo on Oct 10 '08 at 2:15pm
I have to set 3 different alarms and sometimes I still sleep through all of them! I'm often too tired to hit the snooze button and just ignore the alarm by covering my ears with a pillow. I've broken a few clocks already by hurling them across the room. I'm not a morning person.

I usually need about 3 snoozes to wake up, which amounts to almost half an hour. Sometimes I sleep right through my alarm though, I'm pretty terrible.

Sometimes I get confuse by iPhone's alarm. When the alarm goes off, you touch the screen to snooze and you touch/slide to turn it off. I always touch/slide it....late again.

haha. i usually have both my iphone alarm turned on as well as a regular alarm. it makes for confusing times when i'm trying to figure out in my state of half consciousness which alarm is which.

My boyfriend gets up at 6.30 & makes coffee. He wakes me up at about 7 with juice. I drink that, then go back to sleep until 7.40 when my alarm goes off. I press snooze. The alarm goes off again & the idea is that I wake up & drink my cold coffee before my fella gets out the shower, but I usually just fall back asleep. If he wasnt there to drag me out of bed at 8.00 I'd never get up.
