One of my little goals this semester has been to finish a crossword all on my own. I got really close this morning - the Internet provided help on eight clues. Not too shabby, eh?

This morning at a brunch, sitting at a table where at least three of us were sporting Threadless tees, I met my first Threadless designer. It went like this:
Him: "Hey, is that a Threadless shirt?"
Me: "Um... yeah."
Him: Takes large bite of quiche. Clears throat. "I won that contest once."
Me: "What?! Are you serious? Which shirt?"
Him: "Actually, I don't remember the title because I made it with another guy, and he named it. But it had this girl, with this brain..." Slurps hearty soup.
Me: "That's crazy! I've probably seen it!"
Him: Mumbles reply.
What made this so funny is that he's drinking wine with his breakfast, and his glasses are so strong that they magnify his eyeballs at least two times their normal size.

The festival is over, and I believe some pictures are in order.

The Chalk Art festival grows closer by the day! I'm super stoked, and will be recreating Vermeer's The Milkmaid on the sidewalk. Last year I did Girl with a Pearl Earring. I am a Vermeer person.
