I have this shirt and I really like it. The icons are based on the mon or traditional family crests of Japan. The designs on this shirt are similar to actual family crests but the icon is broken by altering the symbol so it represents something more mundane or disturbing than the image on the family crest. All the designs that you may see somewhere else that look like these icons are based on Japanese family crests.
