The Quiet Time

This is the quiet time. Just a few North Americans with insomnia, a few early morning Brits who are unemployed or avoiding real work and the odd stray antipodean. You can almost hear the crickets chirping and the wind moving through the grass.

i definitely belong to the ones that are avoiding real work.. work sucks.. and today we have a lunch meeting were i have to present something, so I can no even look forward to lunch in 20 minutes :(

SA is generally the same time zone as central Europe during summer when Europe changes to Summer Time. In Winter SA is 1 hour ahead. I know cos I have family living there.

I don't mind the pace of the late-night crew...you can actually catch your breath for conversations and concentrate on one person at a time for a bit. It's like a mad dash through a typewriter factory in the daytime, which is also fun. But if you don't get in on the convo in the first five minutes, the convo bus has left and you gotta wait around for the next one.
