WebMD classifies the act of damaging your cerebral cortex with a myriad of coloured wax crayons as "Homer Simpson Disease" after he immortalized the condition in a "Simpsons" episode.

Currently there are 90 known cases of Homer Simpson disease, all of the cases have resulted in non-fatalities allthough as stated in many medical journals a loss of intelligence can be attributed to such a disease aswell as inability to dicipher the difference between Poop and Pee (debillitating).

For the non lamens...

Homer Simpson disease is a condition in which nerve cells in the brain die after being exposed to majenta and beige etc, making it difficult for the brain's signals to be transmitted properly. Symptoms may be hard to distinguish early on (especially since retarded people are usually the only ones to do this). A person with Homer Simpson disease has problems with memory, judgment, and thinking, which makes it hard for the person to work or take part in day-to-day life. The death of the nerve cells occurs gradually over a period of years and can take you from Einstein to Maltzmania (cerebral death).
