Does Threadless typically have a sale during the week of Memorial's Day?

I noticed that replies to posts here are usually sarcastic and/or witty (but sarcasm doesn't necessarily equal wit), especially to really vague or abstract questions. As an experiment, can you resist being snarky here? Can you, can you?!

Not to be confused with the WB's lovely delerious childhood cartoon show. Ahem. When I was in high school, I loved anime. But sadly, I was only one of like 3 others. It was always a thrill to hunt down the aisles in Best Buy and if you tried reaallllly hard and spent a good deal of time looking in every nook and cranny, you might just find yourself a badly dubbed anime video. Or if you woke up at 5 am in the morning, you could catch Ronin Warriors on your local TV station. Hurrah!

When I graduated and had to start supporting myself, anime no longer intrigued me as it once did as the main ones available were series, and if I buy a series, you know I'll eventually just buy them all. And a student's salary is not cut out for that. At the same time as my interest was waning, DVDs were making a huge surge and now animes have their very own section; even entire aisles!

Now I think I may get back into it. I haven't seen a sngle one in years (literally). The last I saw (and really liked) was X/1999. From what I've seen, Romeo x Juliet, Claymore (maybe I just miss Buffy), and to a slightly lesser extent Persona: Trinity Soul look intriguing. What do you like and/or recommend?

So far, it's been one of those years where you know everything is just going downhill... I think I need some sad music to, ironically, make me feel better by making me feel even more depressed. What do you recommend for suicidal-inducing, majorly depressing songs?

"The Kraken" by Lord Alfred Tennyson

Below the thunders of the upper deep;

Far far beneath in the abysmal sea,

His ancient, dreamless, uninvaded sleep

The Kraken sleepeth: faintest sunlights flee

About his shadowy sides; above him swell

Huge sponges of millennial growth and height;

And far away into the sickly light,

From many a wondrous grot and secret cell

Unnumber'd and enormous polypi

Winnow with giant arms the slumbering green.

There hath he lain for ages, and will lie

Battening upon huge seaworms in his sleep,

Until the latter fire shall heat the deep;

Then once by man and angels to be seen,

In roaring he shall rise and on the surface die

I absolutely love, love this poem by Tennyson. With that said, I also have a craving for deep-fried calamri now... mmmmm... and that cryptozoology shirt I vaguely remember on Threadless. Come to think of it, with Threadless' massive printed t-shirts, there doesn't seem to be any involving squids or octopi is there? (aside from that recent comic book-y tentacle rape print from a few weeks back, which also reminds me of a friend's The Faint shirt with a variant of The Dream of the Fisherman's Wife) If not, there should be. And if there are, then there should be more!

Did anyone else read this children's horror story as a kid about this little girl who always wore a yellow choker and her best guy friend always asked why she did but she would just answer him that she'll tell him later and finally after they grow old and get married and she's on her deathbed she answers his question by telling him to take off her choker and... (well I'm not going to ruin the ending if you don't know, unless you want me too). I just thought of Edward Gorey and the Gashleycrumb Tinies and that reminded me of this haunting childhood tale!

This is such a sweet shirt! But alas, the Fruit of the Loom shirt never fits me right (sleeves much too big). From the user posts, it seems like most guys opted for the Girlie shirts which for me are too short in both length and sleeves. Last week (or so?) all the reprints were also printed on long-sleeve versions! But not this time! Why Threadless why?!

I was wondering at what time on Monday are the new weekly tees introduced on the website? It's 1:25 am [in Los Angeles] and I want to see the new tees (and beat people to the punch, just in case)!
