Recently I was lucky enough to be in France with my family. We were there for 2 weeks and so to ensure I didn't over pack and have to deal with a lot of dirty clothes; I bought some travel packs of Woolite and Tide so I could wash some clothes. One of the items I washed was my favorite t-shirt, "Bottlenecked". I thought hand washing it with Tide would be fine. But I made a mistake.... I followed the instructions, but I didn't think I used enough Tide for the amount of clothes I was trying to wash. So I added more. While the clothes were in the sink, in water.

THIS is NOT a good idea!

Now I have a bunch of odd white stains on my favorite shirt (and a few other items) and it looks like I had an accident with bleach. Like I said, I love this shirt but I don't think I will buy another one. I am getting used to the little bleach stains; they look a little like feathers and I think it gives the shirt added uniquness. (did I spell that right?)

So beware of hand washing with Tide! Don't add any more to your mix or you run the risk of messing up your clothes!

Oh dear... I think the problem wasn't so much the Tide itself, it's that you were using Tide with bleach (even color-safe bleach can cause damage).
