  • It took a long time for me to figure out how the title and the image were connected. Initially it just looked like a branch and a bunch of jungle plants/animals and I kept trying to figure out how the colorful birds were meaningful. Upon closer inspection, I found the horn made out of the tree - THAT is very cool. I wish that type of element stood out more. If you expanded on this and created a large jungle band in the same style this could be amazing. As it is now, you either have to more clearly identify the main elements (mushroom, horn) or expand. The drawing style is great, though. Keep at it! Please take a moment to comment on one of my critiques:The Simple Solution Let's Get Out of Here

  • I think this is a great illustration, but I wonder if your target audience (D&D players interested in MLP) is too small. I would suggest making it more obviously about D&D by adding some clear background elements so it's more undestandable to the rest of threadless. Also, I think the text is unnecessary - it's cute, but I think it takes away from the actual image itself. • Cute. I like the subtle use of color. Unfortunately, I can't help but look at the bags and jellies in the background and think "they just repeated this same image!" Even just changing a few things on each item should be enough to fix that problem. Also, the jelly is cute, but I feel like you should spend some time trying out different eyes. Try using a color that matches your palette and an eye-style that matches the style you've already created. This is looking great but still has some changes to make it perfect. :) Please take a moment to comment on one of my critiques:The Simple Solution Let's Get Out of Here

  • This is darling, but I think it needs a bit more. It looks unfinished. Any chance you could add another house or two, maybe a forest or a road in the background? It just needs a little bit more in order to tie everything together. I think the colors work nicely and your illustration style is great. • I think that just an image of Van Gogh's face isn't enough to sell a t-shirt on Threadless. The ink splatters, to me, seem like an attempt to get around that fact. This would be neat if you took some time to illustrate (in the same 1-color, sketchy style) a few of his paintings or parts of them and made it more of a Tribute to Van Gogh. Plus, you could make it cool by making VG a different color, potentially something just a shade or two off from the shirt color you choose.
