Is "Natural" suppose to look dirty?

Not the color itself, but the shirt. I ordered two natural colored shirts and they both have brownish specks all over, even after washing. I could care less, but my dad thought the shirt wasn't washed and left it hanging. Just wondering if it's suppose to be like that.

sometimes the threadless staff wear the shirt before they send it and they do like their rolling in the mud adventures.

I'm pretty sure it's something from the cotton, seed remnants possibly? I'm not 100% but I know it's from the process they do to make the natural shirts.
