Didn't Get This At First
I've noticed that I like shirts with a commentary about the environment being destroyed. So when I saw this shirt, I really liked it, even before knowing what it was about. When I saw the name of it, I fell in love. I read "Watership Down" in 9th grade and consequently wrote a parody, using humans instead of rabbits. I mustmustmust have this shirt, as soon as I have money for it.

i'm not sure there is anything in this shirt to sugest that it's an allegory for enviromental problems, i always saw it as just a comment on trying to fit in and be "one of the guys" ect. ect. ect.



i could be totally wrong however

Have you ever read the book "Watership Down"? If not, you MUST read the book, it is excellent. (It has its own vocabulary with a glossary in the back so you can understand it, haha.) It also makes much more sense as a commentary, due to the rabbits' homes being destroyed.

Drat, I thought for once that I'd get the obscure meaning and no one else would. The second I saw the title I knew the reference. Watership down was my favorite book when I was a kid.

Gosh that's alot. I'll just have to start chipping away. The good thing about these shirts is that most are not in black. Being a girl who's a big fan of metal and thus most band shirts come in black, I've recently been looking for shirts that come in colors OTHER than black. This makes my heart happy.
