This has been something I've been working on in kind of a different style, actually a re-working of an old design. Still a bit concerned about the composition and not sure what elements to add, if any.
I was thinking of adding some extra foliage around the TV to break up that square and maybe one more animal, like a rabbit or a turtle. So, what do you think of it so far? Suggestions appreciated. 
I always get a little down this time of year, dreading the oncoming cold and darkness of another Toronto winter. Time to up my dosage of vitamin D!

My design for the Threadless Loves Innovation challenge. Working title is "Tree of Invention".
In this design I wanted to combine an old, vintage aesthetic with motifs from both the past and possible future. Innovation is a very broad term but to me brings to mind science, technology and great inventions that have shaped our world. The light bulb fruits are a visual metaphor to suggest the growth of new ideas that lead to innovation and the mechanical beetle and bird are a manifestations of this. Think the best colour for this is AA "sage stone". What a lovely colour, glad it's an option now. UPDATE: subbed :)  on sage stone:   Over-sized print: 
My co-workers joke about it because they know it's a constant problem with me but man, I'm not laughing right now. It's past 5:00 AM and I have to be up in 3 hours. I'm completely exhausted and have spent hours staring at the ceiling.
Normally I'm against taking any kind of sleeping pills but am totally at my wit's end and willing to try anything. If anyone knows of any other treatments or strategies that might help I would love to hear them because this problem is driving me almost insane.
Ok, so I had a bad dream at 4 in the morning and couldn't get back to sleep. It's going to be a lousy day but one pleasant surprise. I just tried this new instant coffee by Starbuck's called "Via" and have to say it's pretty darn good in case you were wondering! I'm super-picky about my coffee but also super-lazy so this is a really cool option.
Studies have shown that coffee-drinkers live a little longer than non-coffee drinkers and have less likelihood of developing Alzheimer's disease and dementia. It's not the caffeine but some other ingredient in the coffee that is responsible, some researchers believe antioxidants in the coffee beans offer this protective effect. My dad says coffee consumption became prevalent during the Industrial Revolution to further enslave the factory workers by keeping them up to work longer and harder and for this reason he avoids it. For me, it's pretty much an essential nutrient. So, how do you get yourself going in the morning and how many cups do you drink a day? Also do you think caffeine is an opiate of the masses or a benevolent drug that is basically a cure-all for what ails you? I vote for the latter. 
OK, trying a little something different, should I bother to even sub this here? I'm happy with how it turned out but realize skulls aren't exactly popular on Threadless. Also I know this is kind of an old theme but tried to put my own spin on it.
Memento Mori is a Latin phrase meaning "Remember you will die". I try to remind myself of this every morning as I start a new day. This design was inspired by old tattoo designs, Edgar Allan Poe, Victorian botanical illustrations and my still-life-drawing classes when I attended art college. illustrated in pencil crayon, coloured in photoshop.
