I thought about this idea on a rainy sunday morning while I was making a coffee. (there was a swiss army knife in my kitchen) by lunchtime this was finished except for the soldier. the original design just had an open manhole but after leaving it for a day I added the little guy and sent it in. One of those ones you dont have to think too hard about thats why I think it was pretty easy to resolve the design, it's one my favourites too.

Cool. Do you usually sketch your ideas out first and then go vector or go straight to the computer?

sort of, I roughly draw it in illustrator first, then turn it all to guides and draw the final illustration over the top of that

Thats almost like my process. I rough sketch it in illustrator...then I'm too lazy to redraw it, so the rough becomes the final.

It's always interesting to find out how different people work, their process and their approach to their work. Cheers.

There are countless philosophies for guiding design as the values and its accompanying aspects with modern design vary, both between different schools of thought and among practicing designers. Design philosophies are usually for determining design goals. And at the same time, some people have a stock market habit. It's understandable, as the stock market can make a lot of money, if you know what you're doing. Buy low, and sell high is the mantra. It seems like a risky proposition with the world's various stock exchange markets fluctuating from boom to bust in a day, sending traders running for payday loans. However, for the bold, money can be made during a down market. For instance, the lipstick indicator. Studies show sales of cosmetics and related products soar during periods of recession and general doom. If you make the right kind of investments, you can make money and eliminate the need for personal loans even during a down stock market.
