You should send it to you friends and get them to assess your deamon. If they don't think it fits, they will change it. You don't want to have a deamon that you don't get on with.

I just finfished the whole series... I really liked it. Two and three were my faves bc theydid not entirely center on Lyra.

I found the end a bit of a let down, all wrapped up really quickly and too easily if I remember rightly.

I preferred the first and second books. All three are brilliant, but the first two are the best IMO.

I've got to re-read them.

I love the series and read the whole thing to my wife and son before bed...she loved it but he just fell asleep but he's only 17 months old.

I read His Dark Materials immediately after I discovered Harry Potter, and absolutely loved all three books. It was a little dark and a bit gloomy at times - especially in Book 3 - but they were so well written and inventive that I've been recommending them to friends for years.

The movie was... ok.

I've read them all. Really enjoyed the first two. The third one was kinda heavy though, not written/edited well or just too Religious bashing idk, just didn't like it as much.

Fantastic ending though.

yeah i refuse to see the movie as well. the trailers almost made me cry. i mean, if they ever aired it on tv a few years later, i'd try to catch a glimpse of it, but i don't think i could rent it.

I got the spider daemon. I'm currently re-reading The Golden Compass because I finally picked up the last book in the series, and I'm going to read them all together. I really liked it.
