Ok, so I discovered a lot of these through the blog on meebo at the moment (thanks Elaine!) and thought I'd repost this here for those of you who aren't familiar with them.
Please feel free to post in and add your favourite time wasting internet games. Vector TD possibly the most fun tower defence game on the Internet, prone to being a little predictable but still fun nonetheless. Desktop TD is a tower defence game without any pre-built maze. The challenge is twofold because you need to place towers not only to destroy the invaders but to create a maze for them to get caught up in. Thanks to Maddingo for this one. Conquer Club is the online version of the board game risk. I've lost countless hours of my life there and, should you decide to, you can join your fellow threadless conquer clubbers here. Isketch is basically online pictionary, it's a heap of fun even if you're like me and can't draw using a touch pad. Spin the Black Circle reminds me of those wooden marble labyrinth mazes, except this game has fiery torches, spikes, and spinning walls. Lots of fun! Sprout, a hand-drawn game by Jeff Nusz, features a magical seed that travels the world by morphing between an apple tree, coconut, and dandelion. Very unique! The Impossible Quiz is the second (and probably not final) impossible quiz that will delight riddle and puzzler lovers. Guaranteed to prompt a few groans and ooooh's! Warbears showcases Polar Bears trying to solve missions around Bedtime City including rescuing gas platforms from attack and stopping bank robberies. Tower Bloxx challenges you to build tall skyscrapers for your new city and to attract more residents by building straighter, taller skyscrapers. Peggle is probably one of my all-time favorite online games just for its sheer silliness. If you like pinball, you'll love Peggle. Go Zen Ball! Flash Empires it may be the part of me that always wanted to be a knight when I was a child (and that I never quite discarded growing up) but this little game is heaps of fun. Set up your army and your defences and protect your castle from the barbarian invaders. Puzzle Pirates: Ok, so you do need to download a java applet to play this one and half of the puzzles are reminiscent of various pop cap games. Still puzzle pirates is wicked fun and you could probably waste a large portion of, say, your final year of university playing this game. Not that anyone did of course. Nanaca Crash is an anime game the aim of which is to ride your bike into an unsuspecting plebeian and knock them as far as possible. That description doesn't do it any justice. Thanks to ISABOA for suggesting it. The Kingdom of Loathing is one of the more humorous online RPGs I've had the pleasure to run into. Most of the areas an monsters are worth at least a brief chuckle and the turns/day structure means that you won't play it out in a single coffee and amphetamine fuelled weekend (not that you would of course). It's not the kind of game that you can spend an afternoon on but it is a great way to kill an hour here and there. Thanks to D3D for recommending it .

Me
I live in Melbourne where I work and play and party more than I should. I like pirates and dancing and all things steampunk. I'd say almost anything to make someone laugh but my sense of humour is a little weird so if I've said something that seemed really strange it's a good bet I was trying to be funny. I've been here over a year and I've only been threadquoted three times; perhaps I'm not as funny as I think I am.
