A! I prefer the first silver version, though the brown linework isn't bad and on creme is nice too. I feel as though I prefer the first because the muppet's colours pop most on silver with the blueish linework. I don't think it will make much difference in the end though on the score. It's a great design.

I was recently in NY and there's this really great Jim Henson exhibit at the Museum of the Moving Image in Astoria (Queens). Just wanted to recommend it... There were a lot of muppets there and sketchbook drawings and silkscreen posters Jim made in his university days as well as a lot of videos including this one called Time Piece which is so fun:

It was a pretty sweet little museum. They even had Robin William's fat suit from Mrs Doubtfire! I was stoked.

okay... as long as you're cool with me subbing it Leon. I honestly never saw yours. I was actually inspired by "Wild Night" the more recent muppet print. I started thinking what other twist you could put on the whole muppet/hand relationship.

I prefer the shading style of B. I feel that the textures in A are trying to steal attention away from the hand. Also B blends in the shirt better than A. But they're both good!

hmm... now I'm confused. I tried a version with some halftones. not sure if it's better or worse.

I really don't think there's anything wrong with any of the shading options really. Don't get too caught up in the tiny subjective details. You could refine this forever trying to please everyone in this blog but I think you should just choose the shading you like best. :) $5!

Yeah either way it'll score well, I think. I just preferred B because the linework for the shading reminded me of a more storybooky look.

I really like the new version, think the shading adds some depth without being distracting. Awesome job!
