Awwww.....Threadless hearts me!

I ordered 13 shirts during the X-Mas Sale last week, so they had to put them in a box. (Yay for cardboard protection!) And they left me a nice little note on the outside:



I was having such a crappy morning, this made me smile when it arrived. Thanks so much Threadless!

Hahaha the stringy-haired, kissy-faced gentleman on my profile page is Gerard Way, the lead singer from My Chemical Romance. Or Steve, as I like to call him (long story). 95% of the images ever taken of him consist of him being a douche, and that's my favorite. So yeah ... "NOT ME" for real.

Maybe someday when lions and sheep live in harmony and the earth spins backward on its axis as angels snowboard on the frozen slopes of Hell. Or maybe I could just go get my digital camera and take one of myself, but that's such a myspace-whore thing to do, isn't it?

I sit at my computer and go hmmm... for about an hour. Then I drink a Mountain Dew. Then I watch some episodes of Numb3rs. Then I take a trip to the zoo. And finally, after all that is done and it's 3 AM I let my crack-addled brain wander until it comes up with something funny / snarky / provocative / other-cool-adjectives!

It did! Yay! I love you for owning it! That bunny-dragon hybrid was given the wonderfully creative name of "Demon Bunny." I am however accepting naming submissions, cause the Demon Bunny doesn't like her name. She thinks it needs more "flare."

Well considering Odd But Cute was printed back in the day when the prize for winning consisted of $50, a used tire, and a swanky toaster oven (or something like that), I believe I spent it all on Pez and CKY concert merch.

Hmmm....good question. That was years ago. Haha. I think I probably heard about it through that bastion of design news K10K.net. Or else I stumbled across it during a late-night insomnia-driven web-surfing binge.

I think I'd probably choose gray, honestly. I'd rather it be devoid of color than have to suffer with only one forever. That would get pretty annoying. Haha.

> How long have you been interested in design?

Since I drew on walls with crayons when I was 2. My parents tell me I was always concerned that the crayons didn't make a smooth enough line on the paint. Haha. I was so critical, even then. I bet they were relieved when I graduated to finger paints on the furniture at around 4 years old. Much smoother application.

> What makes you tick?

The big wind-up screw sticking out of my back. That thing makes it a real bitch to wear my hoodies.

> Are you a product of the man?

Indeed I am and I am glad to admit it! TAKE THAT! I was raised under the thumb of the man and I live under the bootheel of the man. The man has shaped me all my life and I stand here now a proud product of the man because ... you know what? The man is paying for my grad school education so that someday I'll be able to run around screaming "Screw the man!" and people will listen because what I speak will be the truth. You can't talk it until you've walked it, my friend. Peace!

OK so I've never blatantly made a post asking any of the Threadless folks a direct question, but I figured, why not? *waves at Shimala* Hey there, Craig! Answer it or don't, I was just wondering.

So WAY back in the day, Threadless printed on American Apparel tees. They were wonderfully soft and fit beautifully. I still have a few of them and I love them, like my first-reprint Ctrl-Z shirt. <3 it.

So anywhy, why did you guys switch to Fruit of the Loom? Was it a money thing? Can you get FotL cheaper in bulk? Did most other customers not like the AA tees as much?

I've always wondered, cause I miss the AA tees. And I just saw a post about them and a lot of people seem to enjoy their softness and fit as well. Hehe. So yeah, if you feel like answering, Shimala (or anyone else who knows, have at!)

Hey ya'll. I just realized that I missed We Are Made of Carbon ... AGAIN! Grrr stupid check didn't clear the bank in time. haha.

So...anyone have one up for grabs in a men's large? I've been really wanted one and I doubt it'll reprint again very soon.

EDIT: I have a men's medium of Swift Insanity, a very old design long retired, to trade if anyone is interested. And yes, I'll even accept the misprinted ones if they are not extremely bad.

OK, so I am in webhosting hell right now, and I could use some advice. I've spent ALL DAY trying to figure this out and it's killing me...

OK, so I signed up with a webhost three years ago. Turns out they were a reseller for AKWebhosting.net. They went out of business, so obviously my account was turned over to AKWebhosting. Thing is, my account has less storage space/bandwidth and costs more than AK's current plans.

So obviously I want to change over to one of the more current plans.

Well, I've called their help 20 times in the last ten hours. ALL DAY I called, and I cannot get through. It says they are open during such and such business hours, and those business hours include RIGHT NOW and every other time I have called. No one will answer at all. I've tried to cancel my account with them using their online forms, but my password doesn't seem to work to get into their billing area. None of the links to their fax cancellation form work. I've submitted a ticket, but who knows if they will respond.

I'm freaking out a little, because it's costing me money that I don't have to stay with these idiots, and I can't get through to them at all in any way.

Should I cancel my bank account so that they can't charge my card anymore? Will that work, you think? Then I could open a new account and get a new host, no problem.

*sigh* I just don't know what to do. I feel trapped by other people's ineptitude. Grrrr....dammit.

Any advice?

EIDT: I should probably add that this has been going on for about 2 monthes, being unable to contact them by phone or e-mail. It's just today become a big issue with me calling constantly and getting fed up.

The thread about the carnival font prompted me to wonder this.

I am an admitted fontaholic. I LOVE all the 8 million wacky and sometimes very useful fonts that you can find out there on the internet. 1001fonts.com and acidfonts.com are like my Mecca.

So, how many fonts do you have active on your computer?
Do you use a program to view/organize them?
What is your favorite odd/funky/underused font?

For me, a have a whopping 1191 active fonts on my computer. I use The FOnt Thing to organize them. It's a great program. My favorites oddball fonts are Dirty Headline, Accidental Presidency, Punkkid, and DearTheoII.

Hmmm...I got a notice that the Regrowth men's shirt I ordered on the 9th has shipped, but the girl's shirt I ordered seperately on the 7th is still processing? Hmmm. That's odd, thought I would mention it. Hehe. I'm bored and can't sleep.

OK, so today I came to the conclusion that I'm pudgy. I could loose a few pounds. I've decided to stop drinking soda and eating pasta (read: mac and cheese).

Does anyone have any really good diets they've been on? Not some crazy-assed crash weight loss plan, but something that really worked and was not completely horrible while doing it? I'm starting a workout schedule this week, I'd appreciate the tips. Thanks!

This is either the coolest shirt ever or the dumbest thing I've ever designed. Hahaha...

Here is the cleaned-up rough cut of a design I'm about 25% done. It's called "Penguins Rock" because they do! Haha. I said that in conversation with my roommate today and I immediately had this image in my head. I just had to make a shirt.



UPDATED TO VERSION 2! They now have some instruments going on....
