Decorating My Apartment - I NEED ART!

Heya all. SO my room mate has left, which means I have this place to myslef. The walls, however, are HORRIBLY white and bare. I NEED ART!

What's your favorite place to buy nice wall art?

Does anyone know a good place to get interesting posters of unique art?

Do you have art for sale yourself, or have a friend that does (cheap-ish, i'm only a student) ?

..if you go to your local "dollar" movie theaters... or the video stores... they throw away all the movie posters that they dont use anymore. they arent allowed to sell them so they just take them home for themselves or throw them away.

I think you should go down to the local hardware store and buy some paint. go crazy, and if it doesn't turn out good just tell everyone its modern art.

I paint stuff. Canvases, sometimes. Refrigerator doors, other times. My old fridge died, and I had to rip the freezer door off, 'cause I wanted to keep the painting. Acrylics are cheap (sort of) if you know how to mix colors. Paint a piece of cardboard and staplegun it to the wall. You'd be surprised how much cooler that will look than some mass-produced prints.
