Tats and Blood
Okay, so on monday (18th) I am getting the biggest tattoo I have ever gotten. It's a 1/2 sleeve memory tattoo to my 2 puppies, dead pets and dead people I love...Sounds more morbid than it is :)
It's reminiscent of an old Navyish tattoo. It's a rose with 2 hearts and a banner, but it's actually styled, not just plain. Then on the bottom it will say 'In Everlasting Memory' in latin. It's pretty sweet, I don't know how to describe it, but I will post pics when it's done!
This is my second one with latin. I have never had a sitting this long, and I'm not sure what to do for the 3 hours my artist said it would be! WOW! 3 hours...Should I bring a book?

On the 25th, I have to get my blood drawn for the first time ever. I have this crazy phobia of veins, so I'm not sure what to do. I'm not worried it will hurt, but I don't want my veins touched. Incase you are going to use the 'but you have tattoos!!!!' reason, tattoos don't go into your veins and steal your blood. A tattoo needle isn't invasive.
Eeep, I just don't know what to do. To be honest, I am planning on someone having to hold me down. Which seems psychotic...But everyone has their fears..What can I say? :)

What are you getting blood drawn for.... I know something they don't want to do test right after you have a tattoo or body piercing done due to what could still be left in your blood... or at least I have heard that

easy-i have a fear of needles-thus i dont have a tatoo(i would like one but like i said-fear of needles)-but all my friends do-my brother recently had a tattoo which took about 5 hours and covers his whole arm-and thats just the first of 5 sessions!
i went into hospital last year for an op and was forever being prodded and poked with needles-how did i get over it-look the other way and i took a personal stereo-played my fave band(the cardiacs)full blast through me ears and squeezed me eyes tight!

getting blood drawn hurts for about a second(a burning sensation followed by cold), you just get sort of grossed out if you happen to glance at the syringe thats filling up with your own blood.

Is drawing blood uncommon where you're from? I think I've had to have a blood test every year when I go for a check up at the doctor - I can't believe you've made it nearly 19 years without a blood test!

If you look away and try to breathe slowly and relax, the ordeal with the blood test won't be too bad. Also, make sure you hold down that little cotton ball on the puncture site firmly so you don't bruise.

i have my consultation to finalize the half sleeve i'm getting done. mine's supposedly going to take 3-4 sittings at 3-4 hours a spell.
