about my design

about Down With CAPITALISM

The idea came from the previous design I had made entitled "no parking". I was thinking about using letters as characters. I can't remember exactly how I got the idea. I love wordplay. I tend to look at things differently. I had it in the back of my head for a while and then one day I decided that I have to draw it. I am so happy that it got printed. Thank you Threadless! And thanks to everyone for rating it. And in case anybody wants to know, the letters r l t have no specific meaning. I was going through the alphabet trying to figure out which letters would be best to transform into characters. Those three were the result.

I love the no parking shirt too! What if you had some other letters laughing at the P? Or a traffic cop T writing the P a ticket?

Dang. I don't really know anything about the aesthetics of design, so I can't really help. I read some of the comments on the design, and there were some good stuff. I agree with the guy who said to make the P guy sad or really shocked. His expression, as is, is kind of dull. Also, maybe you can add more color to the shirt as a whole to make it more vibrant and eye-catching.

You know why this is great?
Because "RLT" is the abbreviation for "Red Letter Tribe", the message board State Radio, a band I listen to, hahah. So this is priceless for me.
