...doesn't anyone else see the Elephant??

I completely bypassed the whole 'saber-tooth/light sabres' thing and only saw an elephant.

See the long black truck?? And two little eyes? And the white hair/fur/fringe?

...

It seriously took me about a minute to get this shirt. My thoughts were entirely consumed with, "Why is there an elephant in his mouth..."

Once I got past that, though, I laughed, loved, and added it to my cart.

Dark Side of the Garden is possibly my favourite tee ever but continuous loving and washing has caused the death star hedge to lose it's... looking-like-a-death-star... ness.

Totally considering buying another one! Does anyone else do that when their faves start to lose their edge?

I'm beginning to wonder if I'm addicted to t-shirts.

I don't specifically mean t-shirts from threadless, because I only own... five threadless shirts, one of which I unfortunately can't even wear (it's "Now I Know My ABCs", and anyone who's purchased that shirt should know that it feels like you're wearing a cardboard over your stomach) but the other four are in frequent use! And I've got a few in my cart to buy once I get some points from the wicked photos I've just submitted...

But today when I was shopping, I discovered t-shirts are my clothing life. I live in my t-shirts. I love them. Bands, prints, colours, everything. I just love them. I wear shirts to bed (when it's not stinkin' hot which rules on October-like April in Australia but still), I wear t-shirts clubbing, to the shops, to the movies, to cafes, EVERYWHERE.

So this is Chrissie, avid lover of the t-shirts who doesn't plan on stopping anytime soon.

PS: Has anyone taken advantage of the whole Dumbledore is gay thing yet? C'mon people!

Apparently I have had no web presence up until now so I thought I'd post one of these blogs that all the crazy kids are raving about these days. It's hard to concentrate because my two year old feline is mewing her head off behind me, making sure that I'm aware that I haven't served breakfast yet. Oh dear.

I wanted to talk about my real life Threadless experiences, because now I have TWO of them and I thought that was a tad more impressive than one. I work at a clothing store - a pretty groovy one, too - and both of the Threadless tees have come through on the backs of male customers (c'mon ladies!! Show your support!!).

Anyhoo, the first one I'm still trying to hunt down on the site, just so I can see what it looks like. All I can remember is it was a light brownish/khaki colour, and it was a car driving along like a dirt path, and there were trees... and.. stuff.. I was still new to Threadless, and something about it just struck me as a Threadless tee, so I've blurted out to him, "Did you buy that shirt online?"

He's a bit caught off guard, but tells me yes. So I blurt out, "Was it Threadless dot com?" After he smiles and tells me yes again I feel less like an idiot and we have a bit of a chat and he goes along his merry way with a bag full of less-cool-than-his-threadless-shirt shirts. Does anyone know which shirt that was?

My next Threadless-wearing customer came only last week. I received my first order from threadless a few months ago and, as I'd been wearing "Technology Ruins Nature" and "Partially Hungry Skies" around a far bit and never had anyone make my day by recognising it as a Threadless tee, I figured it was my duty to make sure people are aware of how damn cool these shirts are.

This guy was shopping with his friend. Unfortunately for his friend, he wasn't wearing a Threadless shirt and thus didn't get much of my attention. I saved it all for his friend and as soon as there was a lull in conversation I managed to say something like "that's a pretty mad shirt!" or something to that extent and "Threadless, right?". So anyhoo he seemed pretty stoked that someone had recognised "Sea Saw II" and we spent the next few minutes chatting animatedly about the shirts that we liked or had missed out on.

"Dark Side of the Garden" was one missed out by him, and I mentioned that I'd got it for my step-father "Aw, what! That'll never get reprinted!" so maybe I'll be lucky enough to see him when I'm strutting around in the Girly XL that I just picked up for $10 in the sale...
