ok, so I used to be a threadless member about a year ago and got really busy and lost track of it, since I rejoined they invented this beautiful Critique section, however, I never really get that much feedback from it, there is way more if you actually submit the work, and then someone commented on another of my designs that we have a wonderful crit section and I should use that instead of resubmitting. *sigh* Do you guys actually go to the crit space, or is it not important to the threadless community?

this is a tough situation - You are prolly gonna have to promote your crit on the blogs to get more traffic - post the link

I never got any viewers of my critiques but after some self promotion I got some more. I think the key is advertise, advertise, advertise! When posting a blog about your critique use a catchy and interesting phrase, like "Hot chicks" or something random like "Great yellow spoons of death"... something that will catch people's attention.

Good look and post a link so I can see your work!

it is a great use of color - I am not clear on the ref, but I am not an expert on fairy tales. Critiques just suck, no way around it - I posted a work in progress last night and have gotten zero feedback and 4 needs work - I posted the same design in the blogs and got lotsa info and suggestions.

I have given up on 2 Threadless things, after trying them over and over. One is critiques, the other is collab submissions.

Critiques because there are only a few folks there who I really want to hear from, and I pretty much know the answer. Also, minor refinements would come from Threadless anyway, if a design ever got that far.

you stopped short of explaining the collab abandonment

that is true, but I am just so sick of hearing things that are simple to change and have people give it a low score because of something small.

Oh, well my subs have sucked lately and I guess I don't need need any help sucking more. Also, any initiative in that department came from me finding ideas in the slogans, coming up with the visual and do the work, yet I feel I have to get approval or permission from the sloganeer. If the thing got printed, I would have to share the winning with them too. It seems a bit unbalanced.

I am now interested in this work beyond Threadless and I have to deal with the writer.

inspiration will come back to you, I have been looking at a lot of nursery rhymes and fairy tales. Remember, when it rains it pours. I would love to see more of your work tho

yeah, i hate it too when voters dwell on an aspect that can be easily changed... most winning subs make minor changes before being printed

yeah, just read some of the other coments on the stuff I sent in, on Into the Woods people said the forest was too close to That Way and then when I changed it, they said they liked the old one better.
