FYI: if you decide to actually do this, they're probably going to give you some directions on how to take care of it (i.e. using antibacterial soap and sea-salt water mixtures to clean). Forget all of that. Just use neosporin double anti-bacterial gel a couple of times a day and you won't get infected.

Also, my piercer told me I couldn't drink (not that you're old enough to anyway), but this isn't necessarily true. It's just for the first day that you can't, but you can give it a little longer just in case.

Yes, I got 2, boysenberry and brown sugar. For some reason the Brown Sugar one is much bigger though...weird.

I might have even had a facial piercing as a youngin', but I won't be putting any pictures up of that anytime soon.

i personally hate them. i went into a tattoo shop for a meeting and this dude at the counter had 6 lip rings and i was like, man, i hate looking at that but if he gets his kicks, fuck it. and if it's because of any of the reasons you mentioned it doesn't really invalidate it in anyway; part of life is repetitive cycles. anyho, i just like snapping at you cause we're both from the midwest.

yeah, I like tats better. More room for individual expression. Other than the location of the piercing, a nose ring is a nose ring is a nose ring...

But I never for the life of me will figure out genital piercing, either why the person gets it or why the piercer does it...

i'm about to embark on a bit of a tattoo journey here in the next few weeks until completion. i can sorta see some of the tribal piercings with traditional pieces as something more than a passing fad. but i steer clear.
