Um, why does this now have an area called 'rectum' on it? It wasn't in the original design. And to be honest, it's really putting me off purchasing this classy design. It just doesn't seem to fit.

Odd.

personally i don't care, but i would hate to have a "conversation" with my boss about it. that one lil word puts this into a stack of designs that i can't wear to my uptight midwest job.

Just be pleased it doesn't have the word Anus right at the bottom. I think I love this design and if they had done a long sleeved Tee I would have definitely bought but now I'm in 2 minds. Hmmmm...................................

Jeez, you must be pretty anal to get upset about the word rectum.
pyr4lis
pyr4lis on Sep 24 '07 at 12:11pm
I just noticed the Large Intestines are missing now...

And honestly Mapmaker... that little word "Rectum" does make a huge difference! I work in a creative and casual field but cannot wear a shirt that says "Rectum" on it to work! That does not give off a good impression to my boss.

I'll never understand why some designers feel the need to change their designs after they're offered the print! I mean it kinda comes off as sneaky.. like... "Well I'll sub it this way because I'll get lots of votes.." but then when they win they change the design to be more like they probably planned all along which sometimes has elements that change how I would have voted on the shirt.

Had the original design had the word rectum in it I would NOT have given this a $5. I'm also pretty irritated at the awful coloration on the ladies tee. Creme?? And what the "F" is the color of the print?? It looks like the girls print got all dark brown ink instead of the pretty garnet red and soft gold the guys got...

Personally... all of those issues are leading me to not buying this tee. And now I'm really dissapointed because I was really looking forward to this print.

emmmm.. I already mess-up this!!! SORRY!

Yes, I made small changes on the design. Guys, I did all this base on the submitted comments that asking me to do amendments on the lower part of the body since it’s really mess-up compare to the original body anatomy. Then i made a promise to change it accordingly (base on original body anatomy as a reference) if Threadless want to print this. I keep my promise...so I did it.

BUT now I really feel like a dumb! I also think now how to certify to all my friends here! Maybe one day if Threadless will re-print this, hopefully I can change it upon to your request here! SORRY guys! I love you all & thanks for all your vote/support! Really a big lesson to me!

SORRY again, guys! :(

The ladies shirt in cream is too bad, but the photo also looks like the printing is monochrome. Is this the case, or is the print color scheme the same as the men's? Is there ever a chance that you would use a t-shirt manufacturer that provides a better variety of colors for girly shirts?

What?! You don't want to POOP?!
GOOD LUCK WITH THAT!

It's not like "rectum" is like "shit goes here" or "i slept with your mother"

there's nothing rude about a rectum, it's perfectly natural!

CELEBRATE THE RECTUM, CELEBRATE IT WITH CUPCAKES!

jemae, your shirt is great. I'd be quite excited to wear this to school. I'm sure I'd get a laugh out of my anatomy teacher and weird out all of the teachers I don't like. :P

don't be at all sorry, it's a great shirt. :] and your other designs are amaaaazing.

mlinn on Sep 24 '07 at 2:03pm
umm...i don't know what kind of crack you guys are smoking, but the colon *IS* the large intestine, this version is sooo much more anatomically accurate than the original sub.

I'd be a little iffy on wearing a rectum on my shirt at work, but I don't think anyone would care either (unless I start wandering around in the hospital freaking out the patients). I frickin' love this one!
ladykat
ladykat on Sep 24 '07 at 2:06pm
Aesthetically speaking, the original and new versions are about the same... I rather like how the new one is slightly more accurate, though.

I think the girls' print colors are the same, but it looks like the contrast may have been turned up a bit in the photo (and it's more contrasty in general because it's on a light color).

I don't see how the tasteful use of the word "rectum" in the spot where the rectum is located is a deal-breaker. I would say if somebody noticed it, then they were looking too closely at your belly/pubic area!

I do like it better on the khaki though - it's a shame Threadless can't get AA girly shirts in that color. :(
Lucretia Mott
Lucretia Mott on Sep 24 '07 at 2:06pm
The issue with this shirt is not at all rectum, but they way some uptight people are afraid of their own bodies.

This post is redundant.

Lol Montro & Jean! I wish I could work for someone really fun... and I totally need a raise!

Don't worry about any apologies Jemae! Really it's cool.. I just had a bad morning and the dissapointment I felt after seeing another AWESOME shirt getting printed on f'n creme again for girls just threw my misery this morning over the deep end!

Besides this isn't the first time changes were made to a design I loved that would have changed how I voted and have changed my mind in deciding to not buy something. So don't feel bad really!

And yeah I do agree it is more "anatomically" correct now but personally I don't mind a little creative modification for aesthetic reasons.

Honestly had I know you were taking comments into account I'd have commented saying leave it as is!! lol... I almost never comment on a sub if I think it's perfect the way it is. I only leave comments when I have a suggestion to change something.

Maybe I'll get it down the road but I won't be wearing it to work with the word on it...

Since its a treasure map and the world is flat maybe the rectum could be called the "end of the world".

Also, I agree that creme is not the best color for the womens shirt. It looks the best in the brown/tan.

I'm surprised by how disturbed people are by the word 'rectum'.

If you're one of those people, I have to tell you something shocking: You have a rectum. No, don't turn away! Face it: you have a rectum. Now say it: Rectum. Say "I have a rectum". Say "I have a rectum and I'm proud!" Say it! Now go to the window and shout to anyone who passes, "You have a rectum too!" Say it! Don't be ashamed!

Now order the shirt like you intended to and never again apologize for actually having a rectum. We all have one. Check the medical books.

hahaha @ sk84s8n

I totally agree. we all have rectums, what's wrong with the word just being on the shirt? it's more anatomically correct this way. it's not like the design's message is obscene. nothing on there is telling people to stick something up a rectum or anything of the sort. so be proud of your rectum, it's a vital part of your daily life. :D

i have a solution- but the shirt and NEVER wear it to work! oh yeah, and be happy you work somewhere that you're allowed to wear tshirts cuz most people don't have such liberal dress codes

i personally am disappointed that I can't wear this shirt because it was printed on creme. boo to creme. if it was on the same color as the guys shirt it would be mine for certain
