What happened?
All of a sudden, I'm being charged sales tax? Yeah, I live in Illinois, but I was never charged sales tax before now. I just noticed it on my sales order, as I thought the price was extremely high, and I was right.

So what happened here? Why am I being charged sales tax all of a sudden?

I'm pretty sure Illinois has always, or for a long time, had a sales tax. I live in the IL and I don't remember not having to pay a sales tax.
