...that people on this site really don't seem to like the underaged.
I dunno, not that I hang around much anymore, but it makes me a little uncomfortable sometimes, like I'll either be laughed off the site or... yeah, something else. Don't know. So yeah, anyone know what the average age range is here? Late teens? Twenties? Thirties? (...Forties?? *slightly scared if that's the average*) Oh, and I'm gonna post an idea as a critique soon. Maybe. Be on the lookout for it! :D
Does anyone Photoshop CS2 I can bootleg? Or does anyone know where I might be able to obtain any such bootlegged copy of it?
... Or do you get pwned in the face for just suggesting that kind of stuff around here? Like how suggesting a raid will get you b& in 4chan... Forget it, I'm gonna quit while I'm ahead. Move along, good sir / madam. :D So yeah, just wanted to bump that depressing blah-blah-blah blog entry down a peg. See, I may be kinda young, but I'm not like a depressed, over-complicated teen with hormones that are 110% out of my control and an "OMG LIFE SUX" mentality. ...I'm actually a very simple person with a very simple mind, simple interests, and the ability to be made happy by simple things. :D But I have a problem. (Besides the Photoshop thing.) I'm trying to talk less about myself in my blog entries. Obviously I'm not doing a very good job. XD You ought to see my DA journal, it's awful. I'm gonna watch what I say around here--people seem to be a lot more serious. That's kinda nice, though--feel free to keep that up. It brings an air of sophistication to the Interwebs. Anyway, I'll work on blathering less later. Now is my time to blather. And now I'm going to blather about my latest interest: golf. Yes, I'm far too un-athletic to play any other sport, and I've actually liked golf since I was a little girl, truth be told. But I only played it in video games... Yes, that is a sad thing, but the far-sadder truth is that technically, that's still the case. I practice a real drive every day, with a real golf club, but the only true rounds of golf I've ever played are virtual. And to think I dared to call myself an "opportunist" at one point in my life. *laugh* 'Kay, I've taken up enough of your time, valiant and faithful reader. Please get on with your far more exciting life, and do have fun :D
Anyone who's read my dA account knows that I've been a little messed up lately. Recent things had made me think back to my past, when I was mind-blowingly smart. Really, I was. But fortunately, I think it's all good now. :D
I was talking with my mom, while I was shuffling my UNO deck and she was engrossed in a gripping re-run of "Dr. Phil", and of course she was reminiscing about the old days (which I'd really not wanted to get into at the time). So she said something about when we were at a parking lot and she told me to remember where we parked, and I did so successfully—I remembered the level, the section and the parking space number. Just when I was wishing that I still had my old memory, she said "all you had to do was repeat something a couple 'o times, and you could remember it." And that's when it hit me: "repeat something a couple of times?" I had whispered to myself. "All I had to do...was repeat something a couple of times!" And I immediately ran upstairs to test this new revelation. On my manga shelf, I laid out ten random UNO cards, face-up and only numbers, in a certain order going from left to right. I repeated the order a couple of times, and I kept repeating it different—I named them in groups of two, three, four, five etc. as I brushed my teeth and hair and got ready to go to sleep. On my way to go to sleep, I repeated the order of the colors out loud a couple of times as well, and then I taped a piece of paper to my ceiling that read "what is the number sequence?" just so I would remember to name the numbers and colors later. Well, I not only did I remember the numbers, but I remembered the colors as well, all in the correct order...after nine hours of sleep. In fact, I still remember the sequences now: green 5, red 3, red 6, green 4, green 2, yellow 5, blue 1, green 9, blue 8, green 9...in that order, from left to right, sitting on the top tier of my manga shelf. My reaction was kinda like this: "Auditory repetition? ...That's my big secret? Auditory repetition?! THAT'S IT?!? What a rip-off! I thought my intelligence was going to come back to me in some spectacular, mind-blowing epiphany and I would never have to work for another good grade ever again! And now I find out that not only is my intelligence explained by something so entirely elementary as auditory repetition, but my non-empathic mother explained it by something even more elementary as having the sponge-like quality of a knowledge-thirsty young child back then! I CAN'T BELIEVE THIS! Now I'm gonna have to work even harder for the same damn result! *Pause*... ...But at least I got some closure on it. And that really is a good thing...at least, in my book it is." So what does this mean? Does it mean that all is right with the world now? ...Hell, why not? :D Sure, that's what it means! If I say that that's what it means, then damned if that isn't what it means! ^^ So now I can start thinking about the picture I'm planning on uploading for the 25th. My concept will be "The Road Less Traveled"...anyone got any advice about how to draw a crumbled face of a cliff? ...Yes. At last, all is now right with the world. And the Earth will continue to revolve around the sun, just as it always has...pretty soon I will have completed yet another round trip. And soon after that, I'll get a job. I'll learn to drive. And life will be better from now on, because I'm going to make it that way. :) Anyway, bet you all are getting sick of that sentimental bull-crap...phew, it is damn hot up here—*shouts* Turn the AC back on, Dad! So, I'll take that advice now. But now I have a problem... I've got ten insignificant numbers stuck in my head for all eternity! What do I do with 'em? Maybe I could use 'em to win the lottery? *sweatdrop*
So I'm new here. Yep.
I have yet to learn how to do vector art, but I'm a photographer and...yeah, a photographer...I used to be a musician, but then I kinda quit. Are you allowed to submit photos as designs? Sadly I don't think so. Maybe someone could fill me in on that. Anyhow... I'd like to think I'm not your typical DevianTARTlet, but I am also on DeviantART. My name on that site is the same as it is here, so if anyone is really motivated, they can go take a quick look at my photos and...other crappy stuff *nervous laugh* I don't have a feeling I'm going to be very social here, but I am quite active on DeviantART...this rather seems like a bit more of an "older" site--in other words, geared toward an older crowd. Don't get me wrong, being a teenager has it's up-sides, but one of the major down-sides is that everyone automatically sees you as some obnoxious little girl / boy / thing (girl in my case) who uses way too many internet smiles, speaks netspeak like a second language and throws around Japanese terminology if they happen to like anime. Fortunately, I'm not quite like that. I have good grammar, good internet etiquette (for the most part), and I try to be nice without being too hyper, or giving too many pointless comments like "OMG kawaii!!1one" But that's about it...if you lot really care that much about my boring life, I'd recommend my DeviantART page, not this one. I'm gonna make a SWAG and say that I won't update too much at all here, so as not to have some uinbelievably long archive of crap that nobody cares about. Cheers, Static |
I haven't submitted any photos. I guess I don't want free money.
Nothing much to say.
Likes: Reading, tea, pocky, ramen, anime/manga, drawing, computers, 3D art, writing, music. Dislikes: Talking, Sports, most TV, regular pencils (as opposed to mechanical), ignorance, hot weather, history, pepper, and many other things. Things I'd like to do: Travel to another country again (preferably Britain), get back to playing music, win something (could be just about anything, I guess.) |
