Anyone who's read my dA account knows that I've been a little messed up lately. Recent things had made me think back to my past, when I was mind-blowingly smart. Really, I was. But fortunately, I think it's all good now. :D
I was talking with my mom, while I was shuffling my UNO deck and she was engrossed in a gripping re-run of "Dr. Phil", and of course she was reminiscing about the old days (which I'd really not wanted to get into at the time). So she said something about when we were at a parking lot and she told me to remember where we parked, and I did so successfully—I remembered the level, the section and the parking space number. Just when I was wishing that I still had my old memory, she said "all you had to do was repeat something a couple 'o times, and you could remember it." And that's when it hit me: "repeat something a couple of times?" I had whispered to myself. "All I had to do...was repeat something a couple of times!" And I immediately ran upstairs to test this new revelation. On my manga shelf, I laid out ten random UNO cards, face-up and only numbers, in a certain order going from left to right. I repeated the order a couple of times, and I kept repeating it different—I named them in groups of two, three, four, five etc. as I brushed my teeth and hair and got ready to go to sleep. On my way to go to sleep, I repeated the order of the colors out loud a couple of times as well, and then I taped a piece of paper to my ceiling that read "what is the number sequence?" just so I would remember to name the numbers and colors later. Well, I not only did I remember the numbers, but I remembered the colors as well, all in the correct order...after nine hours of sleep. In fact, I still remember the sequences now: green 5, red 3, red 6, green 4, green 2, yellow 5, blue 1, green 9, blue 8, green 9...in that order, from left to right, sitting on the top tier of my manga shelf. My reaction was kinda like this: "Auditory repetition? ...That's my big secret? Auditory repetition?! THAT'S IT?!? What a rip-off! I thought my intelligence was going to come back to me in some spectacular, mind-blowing epiphany and I would never have to work for another good grade ever again! And now I find out that not only is my intelligence explained by something so entirely elementary as auditory repetition, but my non-empathic mother explained it by something even more elementary as having the sponge-like quality of a knowledge-thirsty young child back then! I CAN'T BELIEVE THIS! Now I'm gonna have to work even harder for the same damn result! *Pause*... ...But at least I got some closure on it. And that really is a good thing...at least, in my book it is." So what does this mean? Does it mean that all is right with the world now? ...Hell, why not? :D Sure, that's what it means! If I say that that's what it means, then damned if that isn't what it means! ^^ So now I can start thinking about the picture I'm planning on uploading for the 25th. My concept will be "The Road Less Traveled"...anyone got any advice about how to draw a crumbled face of a cliff? ...Yes. At last, all is now right with the world. And the Earth will continue to revolve around the sun, just as it always has...pretty soon I will have completed yet another round trip. And soon after that, I'll get a job. I'll learn to drive. And life will be better from now on, because I'm going to make it that way. :) Anyway, bet you all are getting sick of that sentimental bull-crap...phew, it is damn hot up here—*shouts* Turn the AC back on, Dad! So, I'll take that advice now. But now I have a problem... I've got ten insignificant numbers stuck in my head for all eternity! What do I do with 'em? Maybe I could use 'em to win the lottery? *sweatdrop*
