per my earlier rambling...

i am keeping my slogan promise...although some of them were hard to let go of...hahahaha.

i voted on all your slogans...you all are very funny...and some of them i wish i thought of myself...

i think it would be great to get a few printed up into those blik wall decals and market them to dorm rooms...hee hee. although i'm not sure i could live with the same message on my wall day in and day out...innundating my thoughts constantly...

i thought of a funny shirt, "settling the score, once and for all" and a picture of tonto and the lone ranger fistfighting above the clouds...but it turns out there is a book, titled "tonto and the lone ranger fistfight in heaven" by sherman alexie...so i'm sure that i picked it up from somewhere...HEY, by the way, if you happen to see this shirt on threadless now...make sure you tell me... :)

hope you're having a good weekend...
hee, hee, i am SO surprised that someone got the "Friends" (as in the society of) philosophy...(and took the time to message me on myspace about it...haha, must also be the only person that voted they like it)

my lover taught at a quaker school, and they teach the kids this little rhyme when the kids feel slighted by meanies...

"pins and needles, needles and pins, it's the happy man that grins"

kinda like turn the other cheek philosophy...

anyway, at a previous job there was a total jackass whom i worked with and the love told me this as a half-jokey way of coping...but the jackass was SUCH a jackass that i changed it...

pins and needles, needles and pins, get the f* outta' my face, before i kick you in the shins!

the threadless-sub version is the way it would fit...

hee hee...

i have to totally limit my time on here, as it is diversion/procrastination/venting and keeping me from writing my master's thesis...

i really want to graduate, so i guess i should get on it...but it's sooo hard. hee hee. hence my inspiration for my slogan "more hopeful than talented"

haha.

peace out thread-heads

ever since working as a lowly office peon a couple of years ago (i've since been inspired to quit the ass-sitting job and now teach 'monkeys' aka your children...i can wear tee shirts everyday!) and being introduced to threadless by another peon-- we competed to see who committed better time suckage by surfing the site and snapping up shirts before the other could (cause we had a 'if i got it, you can't have it' rule)...i've always wanted to play too, however, only now got photoshop and have yet to learn it...so, for now have to satisfy myself with sloganizing...

you all are SO nice and SO funny...

i just got my "playtree," "stone jungle," and "city lights" today....i LOVE them.

anyway, on to my titled "slogan promise"...so, i'm new, and i know the new kid isn't supposed to make rules, so i'm placing this only on myself, as a show of good faith and dedication...no judgements elsewhere...but i've noticed that as i'm clicking through the slogans (i like the type tees too...encourages my kids to read, haha) the really, really good ones that i would honestly really like to have kind of get lost in the, err, not-so-good ones. i'm guilty of lots of not-so-good-ones too...i think what happens is you think of one, and you're like, "to THREADLESS, i go!" and then once here, get caught up in thinking "damn, i'm just spitting them out!!"

so...i always try to double-think before i hit "send it in," but sometimes mon genuie blurs my discretion...so, in favor of having quality over quantity and giving the really good ones a fair shake by the community, i want to delete anything that has a real low rating from the running...and that way they don't come up and stand in the way of me reading all of yours...

i kinda wish that the system would drop the really unfavorable ones after like 50 votes or so...cause then it would make my reading fun pleasurable AND efficient...i have a lot of time on my hands, obviously.

p.s. don't you like my beer/stunt one?? i like your Jesuszilla one...it made me giggle.
i really do/have said "i like running. i run toward dessert and away from danger," which may explain why i am so attached to that 'slogan' and would like to have a tee shirt that reads that...

blame my lame friends...they reinforce my lameness by laughing when i say it...

i like to make them laugh...

i want to win with that slogan so i can have my shirt...

it's a win-win for threadless, cause i'm just lame enough to buy ALL of them to distribute among friends...

my friends, that is.

i have the best job...ever. i wear tee shirts to work!
