playing cards is always a good thing, but I don't know if you are not looking for something more exciting..

Depends what you're into..

Sometime art galleries or museums can be cheap or free for students. The Modern Art Gallery has free admission here in Sydney, but i'm not sure what it's like over in America.

Usually there's parks and stuff in main cities where you can bum around, a cheap/inexpensive idea is to have a picnic there. Get everyone to bring a plate of food and drinks for themselves and take along games like frisbees and a picnic blanket (although maybe not a good idea if it's winter there lol but you could just do that at someones apartment or house?)

I find doing silly stuff is fun and doesn't have to get expensive. In summer it's fun to get a daypass on public transport and go on a ferry and have icecream. It doesn't cost alot, and if you have a day pass you can go on as much as you want.

The beach is also lots of fun in summer..

Sorry I'm not more fun for ideas. It's summer here so I'm in summer activities planning mode :P

yeh i love the idea of just hopping on transport and seeing where it goes.

A scavenger hunt would also be fun. i spose i could organise that. ive just been feeling lacklustre lately. id kinda like something we could just go out and do right then.

go to a park and make a Pétanque tournament.. the balls are cheap enough I think and you can feel like you are in France while playing it :D

and if you have no idea what I am taking about: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/P%C3%A9tanque

my bro had the same idea about the catching the first bus and seeing where it took you.

i personally would like to go to the park get a couple of brooms and play the game where you spin around while pointing the broom up and looking at the top and then throwing the broom down and trying to jump over it. i nearly hit the corner of a cupboard.

plus. i can bring the brooms
