As some of you may know, I had to sell my beloved Vanagon (seen on the right side of my profile being violated by a dragon) due to ongoing maintenance issues. I didn't want to replace it with just any old car, of which I looked at many, so I took my time in selecting exactly what I wanted. I dated a girl about 7 years ago that had a Toyota 4Runner, and the best thing that came out of that relationship was my love of her truck. I've longed for one ever since, but they were always out of my price range until now. The time was right, the car was right, and the seller was willing to bargain. So, here is my new (to me) 1995 Toyota 4Runner:   Not perfect, but perfect for me! The lovely Priscilla Wilson was printed today! It is beautiful. You need to go see it! $10 including shipping until it sells out today, $15 starting tomorrow. Congratulations!

Turns out it was THIS ONE, 454 days ago. I've only been here just over a year, so that's pretty good. I wish it was a cooler blog, though. How long is yours? Blogs only, no subs or critiques, and please post a link. Then bump that shit with a time stamp... I adopted a cat yesterday!
Sara and I went to the animal shelter Friday to donate a big load of cat and dog food she puchased at Sam's Club, and we decided to look at the cats while we were there. There were quite a few that we liked, but one guy in particular grabbed our attention. He's an 8 year old Siamese mix, about 10 pounds. Sara always told me you should not pick out a cat, that the cat should pick you. This guy definately did. He is very laid back, but once you start petting him he rolls on his back and looks right into your eyes while you rub his belly. He is always bonking me with the top of his head and loves to be right next to me. Sara's cat, Sugar Pi, is none too happy about the interloper, but she is moving back to Cary with Sara on Friday, so he will soon have the place to himself. Less than amused at the red eye reducer:  In the midst of a bath:  The aforementioned belly:  So, the time has come for me to sell my beloved Vanagon. It is a beautiful van, fun to drive, and with lots of space. I can comfortably drive around 9 people, which comes in handy as I'm usually the designated driver for my friends when we go out on the weekends. It is also a 1986 VW, which means the mainenance is a bitch. The guy who offered to buy it from me used to work at the shop where I take it, and always told me to call him first if I wanted to sell it. And now I do. He's coming to look at it in the morning, driving almost 100 miles to see it, so I know he's serious.   I feel like I should throw a going away party. I'll miss you, old friend! Mexico looks to be taking it's toll on him. This blog is now about puffins.  Have at you! This blog is my safe place. Nothing can hurt me in here. |
