I got my Flightless T today, and it's the first T I've got printed on the new Threadless t-shirt.

I love the design. I like the fit of the shirt.

But, BUT, and I don't know if this has been raised on the blogs already:

The fabric is really thin and cheap feeling. I don't expect this T to last very long. It feels cheap, and like it'll lose its shape really easily. And also, you can see through it. I have dark chest hair, which you can see through the wafer-thin fabric. That is not a good thing.

Threadless - what's the deal? What's the point of printing on your own custom Ts if you're gonna print on such cheap, crappy fabric? I didn't like the shape of the FotL Ts, but at least they felt sturdy, and the fabric was a decent thickness.

Honestly, I'd like to request that you start printing your Ts on thicker fabric, cos I really don't want to buy more Ts like this.

I'm in agreement to a point. I'd love this fit but with thicker material.

Honestly, the fabric is so cheap and thin feeling. It looks so thin that you can see the grain of the thread in the material and my chest hair. Mmmmmm.

ofthecoast - what's my attitude got to do with how long the T lasts? This is me expressing my lack of confidence in the product. I like Threadless. I buy a lot of Ts from them, and so I'd like to know why the quality of the product seems to have dropped.

i ordered my first threadless brand T yesterday i hope there not as bad as you say...that would really suck especially sense they raised their prices

I think it's marketing issue. If they use thicker Ts. The cost will be more. And they are gonna to raise the price, but the sale will be reduce. In the other hand, print in cheap Ts will cause people not to buy Ts again. So... It's hard to say which is more important.

The new fit is different fo sho, but I think the "cheaper, crappier fabric" is way more comfy.

time will only tell if the fabric really is cheap... but, i really think it is terribly comfy and it fits well. hell... if it feels cheap, but lasts a long time, i don't mind.

mostly I was just being an ass, but I think if you think negatively about something, then negative things are more likely to happen.

i have two of the new shirts. i love the fit of one of them, but the other is too long and a little tight. i do think it has a better shape to it than the girly AA tees though (not that AA is bad).

Ah well. I was out on Saturday night and some bastard spilled cider and blackcurrant juice all down my back, so the shirt's more or less ruined. This is on the day the t-shirt arrived...

I'll try some stain-remover.

Still think the fabric is too thin.

ofthecoast - my expecting the t-shirt not too last very long won't have any effect on how long the t-shirt lasts. Get a grip on reality, please.

13strong, I agree with you in general, but ofthecoast's comment is kinda funny in light of your post about having someone brutally violate your tee within hours of it's debut.

Wearin' my first threadless tee now. So cozy. And in this weather/the weather to come, thin is better. For me anyways.

i wouldn't like them as much if i didn't live in california where it's t shirt weather almost all year round

LOVE the thinner feeling. thinner doesn't mean cheaper, really.

as long as my dinner plate sized nipples arent showing, im content with a thinner shirt

Hmm, I have had white and yellow and cream FotL shirts from Threadless before, and they weren't as see-through as this one.

I dunno, I was just a little disappointed. I don't wanna have to start shaving my body hair in order to wear my Threadless Ts.

you should start shaving your body hair for maximum viscosity, not t shirts!

really? i totally prefer the girly AA tees to the new threadless ones. i just got a new Threadless T in the mail and the fit isn't as good as the AA's. I do agree with flightless though in that the fabric does feel a bit thin

Hey, welcome back! :)

I have my first tee on the new fabric waiting for me at the post office with a big customs charge. Hope it's not as bad as you say...

For me, the threadless girly tees have lasted longer than the AA ones, as the last AA tee I bought got a hole at the seam the first time I wore it.

cider and blackcurrant juice
Goodness, you have a better eye for stain specifications than Martha Stewart.
