Sorry, this isn't Walmart. Threadless is a boutique company that makes small volume prints of shirts with designs created by and purchased from artists. They have to pay the artist, cover the shirt, ink, and printing costs, and still try to turn a profit, all while keeping prices affordable.

$20 is very cheap for a tshirt these days, especially when you consider that a graphic T from Calvin Klein or some other designer can cost $50-$90.
